This article is the most recent I have read that I whole-heartily agree with. Powerpoint is the worst way to go about formatting a presentation. Everyone can recall when in high school having to do any oral presentation meant throwing together all of your information into a lengthy showing of facts that the presenter may or may not be able to go into without their technological crutch. A favorite comparison of mine was relating the use of Powerpoints to Stalin, I could not help but audibly chuckle as I imagined his authoritative speeches being accompanied by a helpful Powerpoint. Viewing slide after slide trying to retain anything useful will be in vain in contrast to having to listen to what a speaker is saying. The art of paying attention is lost to the Powerpoint’s briefness.
