This final project for me will be showing how people, even under harsh conditions, will preserve what they find to be beautiful in the world. This is shown through the film Children of Paradise done by Marcel Carne and Jacques Prevert and created during the Nazi occupation in France. The production was carefully monitored, and the cast and crew were able to hide reels of footage and employ a number of hiding Jewish people to assist in the making of the film. It was finished before the Nazis left France, but was not premiered until the occupation was officially over.
